Yandy Diaz 2023

Image
Yandy Diaz  🇨🇺  (2023)  Yandy Díaz Fernández ( Sagua la Grande, Cuba, 1991). After a great 2023 season with Tampa Bay, Diaz secured the American League Batting Title with .330 and also won the Silver Slugger as first baseman. Yandy was one of the first players I analyzed this season, showcasing his batting abilities in the first half of the 2023 season; you can see the post here . Yandy had his best performance as a professional player, with .330 batting average, .932 OPS, 78 RBIs, 22 home runs, and 173 hits . Hader is a five-time  All-Star  and three-time winner of the  National League Reliever of the Year Award . Josh Hader is undoubtedly one of the best closers in MLB today. Unfortunately, in the 2023 season, San Diego couldn't capitalize on his talent to make it to the postseason. Hader posted impressive numbers (nothing new for him): 1.28 ERA, 1.101 WHIP, 85 strikeouts, averaging 13.5 strikeouts per nine innings. As a closer, he had 38 opportunities to win the game, of which 33 were saved, landing him in the top 10 in MLB for saves in 2023. In this post, we will analyze the 2023 season in every possible aspect, highlighting his extensive use of the Sinker and Slider. I...
